Christmas in Finland

We got to go the graveyard on Christmas! So cool!! It’s a tradition here that on Christmas Eve they light candles and leave it on the graves of their loved ones. It is so pretty and such a cool sacred thing. It’s so Finn, I love it. We had a good time :)
On Christmas we went with Elder and Sister Vest to a members house to eat. The members here really took care of us, took us in and helped us feel at home. We ate with members on the 24th, 25th and 26th and it was so good! We ate traditional Finnish Christmas food- carrot casserole, potatoes, ham, a special salad and the works. I really love these members! They take such good care of us. And the Vests! I don’t know what I’m going to do when they have to leave Oulu! They are so amazing. They really are our grandparents out here. They always make sure we are taken care of and fed and warm.
