He has been our district leader and a good friend."

Text from Sarah Thayne

Sisar Robert's mom and I received this sweet text and picture from Sarah Thayne on 2/18/16:
"Hi! These sweet sisters taught me at the MTC today! They're doing so well with the language and have the most wonderful spirit! I was beyond impressed. Just thought you might want a picture of them!"

The MTC

This is my companion, Sisar Roberts. She is from Orlando, Florida.
The other set of  sister missionaries heading to Finland are Sisar Burden from Indianapolis, Indianna and Sisar Margaret from Bountiful, Utah.
"We spend 9 hours in class each day: 1 hour of personal study, 1 hour companion study and 1 language study. Then the other 6 ours are with a teacher (we have 2) and they haven't said a word to us in English. Talk about a headache. It's frustrating and so rewarding at the same time."
This is how we feel after class.

My mission begins...

Just to clarify- my Mom will be the one posting on this blog for me. We decided a blog would be the easiest way to keep everyone updated while I am serving my mission.

On January 13th, 2016 I began my mission. I said good-bye to my family and  entered the Missionary Training center (MTC)  in Provo, Utah. I will be in the MTC for nine weeks and will learn Finnish, study the gospel, and learn to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ.
