Another great week in Finland!

Yesterday Sister Thayne and I talked to a young girl on the street (probably 26ish) and she told us all about her life and how many hard things she has been through. She explained that she never feels peace and wants to stop using all the drugs and hurting herself because she knows they aren’t good, but that she feels dependent on those things now to function. She was so sweet and kind to us and we loved talking with her. She asked us if we ever wanted to party or get drunk or do any of those things. It made me think a little bit, and honestly, none of those things sound in the least bit fun. Sister Thayne and I talked about it after and we were saying how cool it is that we know what true joy feels like. That we know of the peace and comfort that can come from having the gospel of Jesus Christ in our hearts. We said how blessed we feel to have this knowledge and pure happiness and how lucky we are to share this with people. We are calling the girl we met to try and set something up soon, we know heavenly father put her in our path for a reason. And I know we are truly blessed for talking to everyone we see, because we were a little scared to talk to her at first. She was with 2 other guys and they all seemed pretty wasted. If we would have just passed her by, she might not get the chance to hear the gospel again for a long while. She also told us that her mom prays for her everyday. Every person that we meet is someone’s family, and someone is praying for them to find what we have. It’s so cool!

The raspberries grow on the street that we live on. We have been watching them closely :)
Cool nature pic
Those round berries are the ones that may have poisoned an elderly woman... We found them in the forest and didn’t know what they were, so we asked a Finnish lady. She took one right out of our hand and ate it and then told us it was very poisonous and not to eat them. Then she happily walked away... We hope she is okay....
